The MVPro™ Military Community Specialist (MCS) Designation is VAREP's premier professional credential for housing professionals serving the military-connected community. Participants complete specialized education, demonstrate military cultural competency, pass the required assessment, and commit to continuing education to maintain the designation.

BOOTS2™ is VAREP's life-readiness development program that helps members grow personally and professionally through structured learning pathways. Members can pursue leadership, career, business, and personal development while earning optional pathway credentials through education, mentorship, assessments, and continuing development.
No. Many VTI courses are available for personal or professional development without pursuing a designation or credential. If you later decide to earn an MVPro™ Designation or BOOTS2™ Credential, eligible completed coursework may be applied toward the program requirements.
