The MVPro™ (Military Community Specialist) Designation sets the professional standard for housing professionals serving the military-connected community. Designees complete Core Course education, pass a certification exam, maintain annual continuing education, uphold professional ethics standards, and recertify every three years.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Upon acceptance, pay the $299 onetime application fee and $100 for the MVPro Exam Prep and Exam Fee.
• All core course work must be completed no longer than 12 months prior to the MVPro application and onboarding.

Ongoing MVPro Designation requirements

• Two (2) Annual CE Courses @ $79 per course.
• 3-year Recertification exam @ $149 recertification fee.

If you do not complete your annual MVPro™ Continuing Education (CE) requirements by the deadline, your MVPro™ status will be changed to Inactive.

To request reinstatement, you must contact the VAREP Training Institute by phone or email. If your request is approved:

• Your MVPro™ subscription will be reinstated with a 30-day grace period to complete your required CE.
• If your CE requirements are completed within the grace period, your MVPro™ status will return to Active.
• If your CE requirements are not completed within the 30-day grace period, your MVPro™ subscription will be cancelled without refund, and you will be required to reapply for MVPro™ certification.

Yes. All MVPro™ designations require recertification every three (3) years from designation completion date.
