MVHC
(military & Veteran housing certification)
The MVHC is designed for a comprehensive understanding of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Home Loan Guarantee Program. We want our members to have an industry recognized course needed to effectively serve the housing needs of our military and veteran communities. Our goal is to educate and empower attendees to embrace the VA loan program instead of shying away from it.
MVLC
(Military & Veteran Lending Certification)
Focuses on mastery of the VA Home Loan program. Specifically for Intermediate and Advanced Lending professionals within the Professional Association Membership.
Duty to serve
The VA Home Loan (DTS)
Our goal is to educate and empower attendees to embrace the VA loan program instead of shying away from it. Topics covered in this course are: Demographics, Military Marketing Trends & Techniques, History of VA loan facts, benefits, eligibility, occupancy rules, COE, Proof of Service Allowable, Overlays, income, debit and credit, funding, concessions, comparisons, VA appraisals & Tidewater, MPR’s, Impact of Bankruptcy, Foreclosure and Short Sale on Service Members.
PCS
(PCS Know your Orders)
Teaches active duty servicemembers and the PCS moves and how to better serve them.
SCRA
(Servicemembers Civil Relief Act)
Teaches about the rights of active duty servicemembers under SCRA specifically housing.
FHA
(Fair Housing Act)
Teaches about housing rights afforded to the protected classes under this legislation, to include which States have included Active Military and Veterans as a protected class.
MVCC
(Military & Veteran Counseling Certification)
Teaches HUD-Certified Housing Counselors understand their role in supporting veterans and servicemembers. It covers housing programs like VA loans, HUD-VASH, SSVF, Active-and financial literacy, teaching counselors how to expand services, prevent foreclosure and homelessness, and promote sustainable homeownership.
SSHSC
(Surviving Spouse Housing Specialist Certification)
Teaches housing professionals and HUD-certified housing counselors on the unique rights and benefits available to military surviving spouses, covering VA home loans, foreclosure protections, and programs like DIC, educational benefits, and healthcare access. Participants will gain the tools to support surviving spouses in navigating homeownership and housing challenges.
